Options is Orange County’s only intensive outpatient program (IOP) completely covered by California Medi-Cal for those who qualify. A subsidiary of DMS Diversified Monitoring Services, the one of a kind program offers substance abuse and mental health programs at zero cost to the participants.
The use of intensive outpatient programs as a primary intervention for DUI offenders represents a major shift in treatment philosophy. Unlike standard court-mandated DUI classes—which often focus solely on basic alcohol education—an IOP delivers structured, clinical therapy.
Our IOP is a structured treatment program tailored to each participant. We personally assess each enrollee to develop a treatment program that fits their unique needs and schedule, offering daily intake interviews for immediate program enrollment to avoid incarceration.
Typical programs require three to five days of treatment per week for eight to twelve weeks and can be adjusted based on clinical progress or legal mandates. Sessions are conducted daily for individuals or groups and led by licensed therapists in English, Spanish or Vietnamese. On average, that’s nearly 100 hours of licensed therapy treatment at no cost to the participant.
