Former Smallville actress Allison Mack was released on $5 million bond and placed under house arrest by a federal judge in New York. Mack will await trial at her parent’s home in Los Alamitos, California on several felony charges including sex trafficking. Federal prosecutors allege that Mack was involved in an elaborate scheme where she recruited women to the secret group DOS (Dominant over Submissive). Instead of being a group devoted to women empowerment, followers became sex slaves and were branded by emphasis NXIVM co-founder Keith Raniere.
According to court records, Mack was released after posting $5 million bond. The 35-year-old actress agreed to a no-contact order with the NXIVM group. She will also be required to complete home confinement in Los Alamitos at her parent’s home while she awaits trial on the charges. She is not able to use a computer or access the internet except for to communicate with pre-approved people and legal counsel. Mack had proudly touted her work for Jness, a group that proclaimed partnership with NXIVM as far back as 2013. It is believed that Mack, through her attorneys, is seeking a plea deal in the case.
