SCRAM™
an alcohol testing ankle bracelet.
Testing is consistent, continuous, and provides reliable
alcohol readings 24 hours per day, 365 days, from any
location, is tamper resistant and weighs only 8 ounces.
What is it?
SCRAM™ (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring
System) is the first alcohol testing system to utilize
the science of Transdermal Alcohol
Testing (measures the skins secretions) in order to
determine a person's blood alcohol content (BAC).
SCRAM™measures the amount of alcohol that
migrates through the skin.
The nature of transdermal testing is passive, so
subjects do not know when they are are being tested.
Transdermal testing eliminates the need for supervision
at the time of testing or travel to a testing center.
Subjects maintain normal daily routines, and monitoring
agencies can ensure that subjects are not manipulating
testing schedules or ignoring a request for testing.

Bracelet:
The ankle bracelet is
made up of the following components: a sensor
pack, which measures ethanol vapor as it
migrates through the
skin in order to determine TAC. In addition, it
contains electronics for tamper detection and
system control, as well as collecting, storing,
and transferring data via an RF link. Every
reading is date-stamped, time-stamped, and
stored in a memory chip within the SCRAM™
bracelet until the data is transmitted, via the
SCRAM™ Modem, to SCRAM-NET™.
 Data
transmission: The easy-to-connect SCRAM™
Modem is placed in the client's home. At a
scheduled time, the SCRAM™ bracelet will
"communicate" with the scram Modem. Using secure
radio frequency communications, the SCRAM™ Modem
will retrieve all available data from the SCRAM™
bracelet. In the event of a positive reading or
a tamper alarm, the bracelet will immediately
begin looking for the SCRAM™ Modem, and the data
will upload as soon as the subject is within
range.

SCRAM-NET™
SCRAM-Net™ is a web-based application that is
managed and run by AMS-no need for software
installation or IT support. The control center
for the SCRAM™ System, SCRAM-Net™ has been
designed and built so that agencies can
cost-effectively manage and monitor thousands of
clients.
During the course of each day, SCRAM-Net™
will notify the supervising authority of any
possible alchohol readings or tamper alerts.
